A local estate agents and Supporting Sponsor of the royal town's largest annual fundraising event, The Great Midlands Fun Run, has registered the first team entry for this year's event, which will be staged on Sunday, 4th June.
Acres Estate Agents with offices in Four Oaks, Great Barr, Kingstanding, Royal Sutton Coldfield and Wylde Green, has registered its largest ever team comprising 57 members with family and friends joining staff to boost the team entry.
Mike Weaver of Acres said: "Our team grows in size each year and we're delighted to have our largest ever team already registered for 2017 and raising money for our chosen charity Motor Neurone Disease Association.
"The 8.5 mile course is certainly a challenge for most of the team and 'Cardiac Hill' never seems to get any easier.

"Life is about setting yourself goals and challenges and ours is to ensure all of our 57 team members enjoy their day, complete the course safely and Acres raise more money for Motor Neurone Disease Association than the 1657 we raised last year.
"With a larger team, I'm sure we'll achieve our objectives and help those living with motor neurone disease. If anyone would like to donate to our online fundraising page and help us towards our target they can visit our page at
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.
MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order.
Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help people living with MND achieve the best possible quality of life.
If you would like more information on MND you can visit the MND website
Fun Run Event Director, Tracey Spare said: "Aces has been a wonderful supporter of the Fun Run sponsoring the all-important mile markers since the first Great Midlands Fun Run back in 2003 and more recently the landmark locations in Sutton Park including Railway Turn and the infamous Cardiac Hill.
"In recent years Acres has also embraced the ethos of the Fun Run by entering a team and raising money for their chosen charity firstly Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and since 2015 Motor Neurone Disease Association.
"The Fun Run, ever since the first event in 1982, has and always will be about enjoying a great day with family, friends and work colleagues while raising money for charity or voluntary organisations.
"I'm delighted to see Acres along with many other local businesses, schools and sports clubs entering into the spirit of why the event was originally created by Brian Latham and my late father, Roy Spare."
